This exciting opportunity involves assisting with maintenance and overhauls of one or more T-AGS class vessels, under the supervision and direction of a lead Port Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:- Support fleet special projects, including TRANSALT development and cruise card execution
- Monitor and analyze ship performance
- Contribute to the organization's Integrated Management System documentation, implementation, maintenance, and improvement
- Assist with marine engineering projects, such as overhauls and maintenance repairs
- Understand overhaul requirements and prepare contract work specifications and cost estimates
- Ensure regulatory compliance and vessel management
- 2+ years of experience in the US commercial or Government maritime industry in a shore-side or shipboard engineering role
- Knowledge of marine industry and proficiency in ship operations and maintenance
- Prior knowledge and experience with shipboard electrical distribution systems
- Familiarity with marine/mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering disciplines
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering and naval architecture principles and practices
- Marine Engineering Degree is preferred
- An active Secret Security Clearance or US Citizen with a valid U.S. passport is required
