Pipeline Integrity Manager

BHE GT&S is seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Integrity Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a large cross-functional team and activities associated with pipeline safety and related compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a team of corrosion experts tasked with the evaluation, design, and implementation of corrosion control practices, procedures, and programs.

Develop and implement natural gas and hazardous liquids Integrity Management Programs.

Direct staff in the evaluation and selection of integrity assessment technologies.

Develop and manage capital and O&M budgets to accomplish the goals of pipeline safety and integrity management programs.

Negotiate and approve contracts to complete critical integrity assessment and verification tasks.

Develop code interpretations and establish procedures to ensure compliance regarding pipeline safety through monitoring of state and federal rules and regulations.

Direct and implement operational audits to identify deficiencies and compliance issues.

Lead and participate in incident investigations.

Develop and present technical training materials related to code compliance topics to various groups within Operations and Engineering.

Serve as a subject matter expert for public outreach activities, regulatory inquiries, and industry organization functions.

Manage the development and maintenance of all Standard Operating Procedures.

Coordinate participation in regulatory rulemaking proceedings.

Advise Senior Leadership in regard to pipeline safety and regulatory compliance matters.

Qualifications

A minimum of eight years of industry-related experience, including three or more years of experience in a leadership capacity.

Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions.

Ability to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to develop, direct, and motivate a staff in a team environment.

Demonstrated leadership and managerial qualities.

Ability to resolve conflicts based on technical reasoning.

Knowledge of laws, industry codes, standards, governmental regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Familiarity with proposed regulations and those under development.

Knowledge of the regulatory development process, particularly PHMSA regulations.

Knowledge of company operations and natural gas industry.

Knowledge of risk assessment/management and pipeline repair principles and practices.

Ability to plan and organize work and delegate work assignments.
