Job Summary

The Terminal Lead is a critical role that oversees the day-to-day operations and management of our Bridgeport and Bronx asphalt terminals. This individual will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for safely producing high-quality products. The Terminal Lead will work closely with and report to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Foster a safety culture by engaging employees, adhering to company and federal safety policies, and aiming for zero incidents.
  2. Provide leadership and resources for efficient plant operations, including coordinating production scheduling, managing raw materials procurement, and ensuring effective operation of liquid asphalt terminals and equipment.
  3. Develop and implement work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet objectives.
  4. Keep accurate records of inventory, inspections, and financials.
  5. Communicate with customers to provide added value in quality, service, production, and scheduling.
  6. Schedule and lead preventative maintenance, assess the life cycle of plant components, and manage winter maintenance operations to reduce downtime.
  7. Identify and address regulatory, safety, personnel, and production problems promptly and effectively.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Liquid asphalt terminal and/or petroleum, preferred. Quality control experience would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrate high ethical standards and a dedicated commitment to safety.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Proven dependability, organization, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
  • A high degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to details.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient verbal, and written English.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The legal right to work in the USA.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a medium work environment, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The job involves sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and bending for brief periods of time in all types of weather.
