Position Summary
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is actively seeking a qualified academic physician specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine to become a vital member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The academic rank and track will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Role Overview
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is looking for a fellowship-trained, board-certified, or eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician. Our division comprises nationally recognized experts in the field, dedicated to training future leaders in MFM. Faculty members provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient maternal and fetal medicine services, manage labor and delivery, and participate in faculty call schedules while offering outreach and consultative services to regional healthcare systems.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, faculty are encouraged to engage in translational, epidemiologic, and clinical research, and lead community engagement initiatives in the surrounding area. The selected physician will also have opportunities to educate medical students, residents, and MFM fellows, and may serve on various university and departmental committees.

Candidate Qualifications
Ideal candidates should possess exceptional clinical skills in managing a wide range of Maternal-Fetal Medicine cases. Responsibilities will include mentoring residents and fellows in research or quality improvement projects, as well as participating in administrative functions and meetings. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in clinical care, patient safety, and satisfaction, along with a strong interest in teaching, community engagement, and research.

Essential Requirements

  • Board Certified or Eligible in OBGYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine
  • Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship program
  • Eligibility for academic appointment at the assistant or associate professor rank
  • Possession or eligibility for an active medical license in the state of Ohio
