Position Summary
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a highly qualified academic physician specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine to become a vital member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The academic rank and track will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Role Overview
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking for a fellowship-trained, board-certified, or eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician. Our division is composed of nationally recognized experts in the field, committed to educating the next generation of leaders in MFM. Faculty members provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient maternal and fetal medicine services across various campuses, oversee labor and delivery, participate in faculty call rotations, and offer outreach and consultative services to multiple regional healthcare systems. Additionally, faculty engage in translational, epidemiological, and clinical research while leading community engagement initiatives in the surrounding area.
Educational Responsibilities
The selected physician will have opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and MFM fellows. They may also be invited to serve on various committees within the university, college, department, division, and hospital. Ideal candidates should possess exceptional clinical skills and experience in managing a wide range of Maternal-Fetal Medicine cases. Responsibilities will include mentoring residents and fellows on research or quality improvement projects, as well as participating in administrative meetings within the division, department, and university.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Eligible in OBGYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Completion of an accredited residency and fellowship program is essential
- Eligibility for academic appointment at the assistant or associate professor level
- Possession or eligibility for an active medical license in the state of Ohio
