Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to our healthcare team, ensuring seamless patient care and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in delivering primary healthcare support and patient care management under their direction and supervision.
  • Implement nursing care as directed, and perform various tasks in the medical office, front office, and clinical areas.
  • Have full access to patient health information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon.
  • Location: Family Care Center of Mocksville.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or have successfully completed the Assessment-based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) program through the American Association of Medical Assistants.
  • Working knowledge of medical practice and care, including examination, diagnostic, and treatment procedures, equipment, and safety precautions.
  • Clerical experience, including scheduling, payments, billing/coding, medical records, and working knowledge of medical office equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire.
Physical Demands
  • Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
