Position Summary: BlazerJobs is actively seeking a Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a contract role. The ideal candidate will focus on delivering tailored educational experiences and support for students with visual challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) for students facing visual impairments.
- Deliver direct teaching and assistance in essential areas such as braille literacy, mobility orientation, and the use of assistive technologies.
- Work collaboratively with general education instructors, support personnel, and families to ensure effective accommodations and modifications are in place.
- Conduct evaluations to assess students' educational requirements and progress.
- Keep precise and current records of student achievements and services rendered.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline.
- Experience in supporting students with visual impairments, particularly those needing braille instruction.
- Familiarity with effective practices in the education of visually impaired individuals.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
