Student Affairs Leader

Job Summary:
Penn State University is seeking a highly experienced student affairs leader to serve as the Associate Vice President, Student Affairs. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight for student health and wellbeing, including University Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Campus Recreation, and Health Promotion and Wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for student health and wellbeing initiatives
- Supervise directors of University Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Campus Recreation, and Health Promotion and Wellness
- Represent the Vice President for Student Affairs on university working groups and committees
- Support human resources, budget planning and management, and strategic planning within the units
- Work closely with student governments, student advisory boards, and other student leaders
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative and leadership roles in higher education
- Proven success in a management/leadership role
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of student affairs and college health and mental health
- High level of cultural competence in working with diverse populations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in engaging with student leaders
- Strategic planning, budgeting, and financial management experience
