We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nursing Supervisor in the Emergency Department at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units. This includes overseeing the operation of the patient care unit, with accountability for leadership, budget preparation, and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, organizing, and controlling.
Key Responsibilities- Provide an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care.
- Responsible for planning, directing, and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units.
- Oversee the operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, budget preparation, and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, organizing, and controlling.
- Role model proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Develop programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.
- 3 years experience in an acute hospital environment.
- ~2 years experience in a specialty unit (Emergency).
- Bachelor's Degree.
