KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Uphold the commitment to exceptional service in all guest interactions, adhering to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards. Check-in guests, issue room keys, and provide comprehensive information regarding hotel amenities and room locations. Respond to phone inquiries in a timely and courteous manner. Process all financial transactions accurately, including cash and credit card operations, in line with established protocols, which encompass posting charges, completing financial reports, preparing deposits, and managing the assigned cash drawer. Ensure the security of cash, credit card transactions, and sensitive guest information. Handle guest reservations for individuals and groups via phone or in-person requests; manage cancellations, modifications, and updates efficiently. Promote room upgrades to enhance revenue opportunities. Adhere to the seasonal reservation strategy as outlined by hotel management regarding room types and pricing for various lengths of stay. Foster a collaborative environment by promoting teamwork and high-quality service through effective communication with other shifts and departmental leadership. Oversee the shoppe and bar area, ensuring guests receive the highest level of service and products offered by the hotel, while complying with local regulations regarding alcohol sales. Ensure the fulfillment of guest special requests and the proper delivery of services. Manage guest safe-deposit box issuance, control, and release. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to health, safety, and alcohol service. Perform additional duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory. A minimum of one year of experience in a hotel or retail customer service environment is preferred. Experience in the extended stay sector is advantageous. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional languages is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Basic mathematical skills, including budgeting and profit/loss understanding, are preferred. Problem-solving, reasoning, organizational, and training skills are beneficial. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Opera systems is preferred. Must be willing to obtain a ServSafe certification. A valid driver's license is required. Physical demands include frequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving throughout the facility. Ability to lift, carry, or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary Range
Salary range starts at $15.00 per hour. The base pay offered may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and overall experience.
