Position Overview:

As a Nutritional Services Aide at Cleveland Clinic's Martin North Hospital, you will be part of a facility renowned for its cutting-edge research, advanced surgical techniques, and exemplary patient care. Our hospital serves the Martin County community, providing top-tier healthcare in a welcoming environment.

Your role will focus on creating a nurturing atmosphere and preparing nutritious meals that our patients expect. You will be joining a dedicated team that prioritizes world-class care while also offering you opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to production sheets, recipes, and menus.
  • Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare food using grills, ovens, and induction stoves.
  • Handle cold food items, including vegetables, salads, and sandwich spreads.
  • Measure, grind, slice, and mix ingredients as required.
  • Assist cooks and nutrition assistants in food preparation.
  • Assemble and transport patient trays to and from patient rooms.
  • Support the setup, serving, and cleanup of special events and luncheons.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by following proper sanitation procedures.
  • Practice safe food handling techniques and adhere to the 'clean as you go' policy.
  • Organize food supplies and products effectively.
  • Load and unload the dish machine as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • The ability to work in a hot kitchen environment and around various potential hazards.
  • Adaptability to changes in temperature from hot kitchens to cooler areas.
  • Awareness of potential allergic reactions due to exposure to sanitation chemicals and food products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in food service or the capability to perform general food service tasks.
