This individual is responsible for efficiently packaging customer purchases and facilitating the transfer of groceries from the checkout area to the customer's vehicle. Key Responsibilities Maintain a strong focus on customer needs; warmly greet, assist, and express gratitude to customers in a timely and friendly manner. Aid customers in placing their purchases onto the conveyor belt at the checkout. Package customer items carefully to prevent damage, transport groceries in a shopping cart to the customer's vehicle, and load them into the car. Verify prices of items across all departments as necessary. Efficiently manage supply items to minimize waste and maintain cost-effectiveness. Organize and handle returned or discarded merchandise appropriately. Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas, returning them to designated locations. Ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and free from safety hazards; report any faulty equipment or safety concerns to management. Inform management of any instances of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or other illegal activities. Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned.
