Position Overview

The Checkout Services Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty by ensuring a swift, accurate, and friendly checkout experience. This individual is responsible for efficiently packaging customer purchases and facilitating the transfer of groceries from the checkout area to the customer's vehicle. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive service to customers; warmly greet, assist, and thank them in a prompt and friendly manner.
  • Aid customers in placing their items onto the conveyor belt at the checkout.
  • Package customer purchases carefully to avoid damage, transport groceries in a shopping cart to the customer's vehicle, and load them efficiently.
  • Verify pricing of items across all departments as necessary.
  • Manage restocking and utilize supply items effectively to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Handle discarded or returned merchandise appropriately.
  • Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and other designated areas, returning them to their proper locations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from safety hazards; report any faulty equipment or hazards to management.
  • Inform management of any incidents of theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property damage, or any actions that violate company policies.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must meet legal and company policy age requirements to perform job functions.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
