Antenna Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability, developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures, and participating in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.

The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience in purchasing, buying, or procurement, with a strong background in Microsoft Office Suite and Costpoint experience a plus.

Responsibilities will include purchasing the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in the correct amounts, preparing purchase orders, soliciting bid proposals, and reviewing requisitions for goods and services, negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives, and monitoring and following applicable laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for researching and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history, and conferring with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
