Plant Utility Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Utility Engineer to join our team at The Bergaila Companies. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal and efficient performance of all plant-related utilities.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain utility systems, including fresh water make-up and treatment, cooling water, steam generators and distribution, condensate collection and return, waste water, nitrogen, and fuel gas.
- Identify and correct utility inefficiencies, limitations, and make recommendations for utility expansion as needed.
- Develop and maintain utility balances, support and provide input to capital projects, and provide guidelines for troubleshooting or utilities savings opportunities.
- Review work of contracted engineering personnel involved in the design and review of utilities and related infrastructure, and prepare cost estimates for projects.
- Review utilities contracts for long-term agreements and participate as a member of the organizational leadership team, researching, recommending, and preparing policies, plans, concepts, and future expansion.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in a plant utility engineering role with a comparable manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of utility design, construction, and contract administration procedures.
- Knowledge of modern and effective engineering specifications, and state and federal regulations relating to utility systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships and communicate effectively with the public, contractors, and other employees.
