We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Engineer to join our team at Monument Chemical. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal and efficient performance of all plant-related utilities.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain utility systems, including fresh water make-up, cooling water, steam generators, and waste water systems.
- Identify and correct utility inefficiencies, limitations, and make recommendations for utility expansion.
- Develop and maintain utility balances and provide input to capital projects.
- Provide guidelines for troubleshooting or utilities savings opportunities.
- Identify and correct wastewater inefficiencies and limitations that could affect future growth.
- Identify any significant utility and process equipment/piping/tankage that are nearing the end of their life cycle and should be considered for repairs/replacement/upgrades.
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent in science fields.
- 5+ years of experience in a plant utility engineering role with a comparable manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of utility design, construction, and contract administration procedures.
- Knowledge of modern and effective engineering specifications, and state and federal regulations relating to utility systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships and communicate effectively with the public, contractors, and other employees.
- PMP - Project Management Professional certification.
- Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
- Sitting, working from a seated position.
- Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, and the like.
- Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling.
- Stooping, bending body downward and forward.

- Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
