Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to assist in the treatment of substance abuse. As a Substance Abuse Technician Trainee, you will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to provide detoxification and treatment services to clients. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting clients through the addiction recovery process
  • Providing education and support to individuals and groups
  • Transporting clients to appointments and other service locations
  • Maintaining confidential records and case histories
  • Collaborating with other department staff to administer program curriculum and activities
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma and one year of work experience in substance abuse, healthcare, law enforcement, emergency management, or corrections
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Valid New Mexico driver's license
