Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and execute events and catering opportunities from start to finish, including correspondence, menu creation, kitchen communication, and execution.
- Work closely with upper management to coordinate in-house events and special dinners to drive business and expose our event spaces to new customers.
- Represent Jacob's Pickles at off-site events and outreach within the community, building relationships and generating new business opportunities.
- Lead and motivate a high-performing team, ensuring excellent service and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with host management, including hiring, training, scheduling, and disciplinary action as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
- 2+ years of operational restaurant or hotel management experience, with a focus on front-of-house operations.
- 2+ years of experience managing events and catering, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent work ethic, dedication to the hospitality industry, and a strong rapport with the Fairfield County hospitality community.
- Strong leadership and floor management presence, with a focus on mutual respect and organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Certification by ServeSafe required, with Cicerone and T.I.P.S. certification a plus.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a flexible schedule.
