Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at Norwalk Hospital Association. As a Paramedic, you will provide basic and advanced life support care to patients in the prehospital and emergency department settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate scene safety and proceed accordingly
  • Develop an accurate working diagnosis and treatment plan
  • Provide patient care in the emergency department in consultation with the Emergency Physician and Charge Nurse
  • Maintain patient equipment and supplies, and report any problems or deficiencies to EMS management
  • Document patient care records and other necessary documentation
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum two years' experience as a Paramedic
  • CT Licensed Paramedic, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Science
  • AHA BLS, PHTLS/ITLS, TECC/TCCC, and NRP certifications
Work Environment

This is a part-time position with a standard 16-hour work schedule. Shifts can vary based on the needs of the department.
