Job Description

Sechan Electronics, a 100% Employee Owned organization, is seeking a highly skilled In Process Inspector I to join our team in Lancaster. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products at various stages of manufacture to ensure compliance with industry standards, military specifications, and customer drawings.
  • Review and interpret technical documents, including drawings and specifications, to understand quality requirements.
  • Perform first piece inspections as required and utilize microscopes, test equipment, and standard measuring equipment to perform inspections.
  • Verify all required documentation and work with Quality Engineers to disposition non-conforming material and identify defect trends in manufacturing processes.
  • Complete documentation of defects through data entry into company software platforms and submit products to source and/or customer inspectors as required.
  • Assist in maintaining the inspection department's compliance with all ISO/AS9102 requirements and work with customers and fellow employees in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Complete required training and become certified to applicable industry standards, such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain IPC Certification (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, etc.).
  • Department of Defense experience a plus but not required.
  • Ability to pass vision acuity exam per J-STD-001 and NASA STD's.
  • Experience with Military and International Quality System rules, regulations, standards, including planning and implementation a plus.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing Environment. Hours 6:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. every other Friday, with additional hours as needed.
