Job Summary:
HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled AWS Certified Welding Inspector to join our team in the fabrication of structural steel. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our steel products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection and testing of welds in accordance with AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards
- Verify that all welding processes meet the required specifications and codes
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify any defects or irregularities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistent quality
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve any quality issues
Requirements:
- Valid AWS CWI certification
- NDT Level II in MT or UT/RT preferred
- Demonstrated experience in quality inspection of welds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and climb ladders
- Exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently
- Visual acuity requirements include color and depth perception, and field of vision
