The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our partnerships and sales teams. As a Sales Engineer, you will design and deliver AI solutions based on MindsDB to customers. You will provide technical expertise and insights during the sales process and present MindsDB as a solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embed within the business development team to serve as a technical thought partner in the sales process.
  • Provide technical expertise and insights during the sales process and present MindsDB as a solution.
  • Demonstrate MindsDB's capabilities to potential customers in a way that is tailored to their specific workflow, IT architecture, and requirements.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand alignment and disconnects with the MindsDB solution.
  • Answer technical questions from prospects.
  • Create reference architectures (may be supported by an ML engineer or may act independently).
  • Analyze customer requirements and design solutions to meet them.
  • Serve as a conduit to channel customer feedback to the product team.
  • Maintain deep market and industry expertise (AI and ML models, databases, etc).
  • Contribute to technical resources and documentation.
  • Help to scale the solutions engineering function as the team grows.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in computer science or a related field.
  • 3-7 years in a solutions engineering or architect role or equivalent.
  • SQL expertise.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time for face-to-face meetings.
  • Scrappiness, independence, end-to-end project ownership.
