Job Summary

The Loan Servicing Representative III - Late Stage is responsible for collecting on accounts by making and receiving calls while adhering to company policy and following all State and Federal guidelines.

This individual must perform in-depth skip-tracing techniques, document accounts accordingly, and coordinate repossession efforts as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect payments on past due accounts potentially 65+ days delinquent.
  • Locate customers using credit bureau information, background checks, loan documents, and other paperwork or databases.
  • Call customers using telephone.
  • Utilize computer systems to handle skip tracing.
  • Inform customers of overdue accounts and amount currently owed.
  • Attempt to collect payments.
  • Ensure all customer information is correct, including phone numbers and addresses.
  • Listen to customer's story and determine if debt can be collected.
  • Set up repayment plans.
  • Submit accounts for repossession.
  • Coordinate & follow up with Repossession vendors to assist with securing of collateral.
  • Follow federal and state laws dealing with debt collection.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of FDCPA standards and state laws.
  • Auto-dialer experience a plus.
  • Must be able to maintain composure with difficult or irate customers.
  • Promote a positive work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ Years Collections experience in the automotive/powersports lending industry is strongly preferred.
