Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team at University of Utah Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient status, identify health problems, and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement evidence-based nursing interventions to modify symptoms and improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal health outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Working Conditions

This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care.

Workers in this position may be exposed to infectious diseases and may be required to function around prisoners and behavioral health patients.
