Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Social Services Coordinator to support our Property Manager in ensuring the needs of our residents are met. The successful candidate will provide assistance and access to required agencies and services in the community, fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation with other team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations and referrals, coordinating services with local agencies to support resident needs.
  • Execute status reports and HUD regulatory reports required by all agencies, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Act as a liaison between residents and management, networking and connecting residents to community resources.
  • Handle case management and crisis management, providing timely and effective support.
  • Develop and manage special programming for residents to improve their health, wellness, cognitive stimulation, and general education.
  • Prepare systems to conduct assessments and monitor and evaluate services provided to residents.
  • Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with staff, agencies, and residents.

Requirements

  • 2 years of hands-on experience in supportive or disability services required.
  • Bachelor's Degree, certification, or demonstrated effective performance in a related field required.
  • Strong background in working with low-income individuals, with experience in working with individuals with addiction, mental, physical, and developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written English skills required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience with community organizing and social work, with excellent human service planning skills and ability to engage a broad spectrum of community members in planning efforts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher) and computer programs.
