The integration of wireless and AI/ML technologies is essential across all Apple devices that enhance user satisfaction. Our unit is dedicated to the research and advancement of AI/ML driven cellular wireless technology for our products. We seek highly skilled and self-driven machine learning engineers.

Your responsibilities will include defining system-level concepts, proposing and investigating innovative ideas and algorithms, executing advanced system simulations, and developing rapid prototyping platforms to validate your concepts for current and future (5G/6G) cellular systems with a robust AI/ML foundation.

Key Responsibilities:
Engage in pioneering research in machine intelligence and machine learning applications.
Contribute to the design of AI/ML frameworks.
Adopt a top-down methodology for system design, beginning with relevant use cases for Apple products, articulating problem statements, and devising groundbreaking innovative solutions.
Establish large-scale testing and swiftly deploy promising concepts broadly.

From conducting experiments and prototyping implementations to architecting new solutions, you will address real-world, large-scale challenges.

Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in resolving interdisciplinary challenges through machine learning (ML).
- Publications in leading machine learning conferences/journals such as JMLR, ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, CVPR.
- Proficiency in Algorithms, Optimization, Probability, Statistics, and Information Theory.
- Experience in one or more of the following research areas in

Neural Networks:

Deep Reinforcement Learning, Federated Learning, Transformer, Transfer Learning, Online Learning, Generative Neural Network, Graph Neural Network, CNN, RNN, etc.
- Demonstrated history of innovation in AI/ML.
- Programming experience in Python, MATLAB.
- Clear analytical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with efficient AI/ML implementation in hardware.
- Strong coding practices and code management skills.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base salary is one component of our overall compensation package and is determined within a specified range. This allows for growth as you advance in your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
