Job Overview

Location: Southwest Metro Area

Position: Welder/Fabricator

Compensation:

Starting pay ranges from $24 to $27 per hour, depending on experience. Opportunities for advancement are available.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize blueprints, sample components, or images to manufacture parts using metalworking tools such as bandsaws, shears, punches, and drill presses.
  • Precisely assemble, weld, or fasten components together.
  • Repair and refurbish existing machinery.
  • Prepare products for shipment.
  • Finish and paint completed items.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles as required.
  • Generate timely and detailed reports on labor.
  • Manage time and resources effectively to meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of parts and materials utilized.
  • Provide assistance to other production teams as necessary.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and maintain consistent attendance.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively with team members.
  • Adhere to safety protocols by using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and respirators.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in MIG welding of steel in various thicknesses and positions, including overhead.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment including welders, plasma cutters, Oxy/Acetylene torches, bandsaws, and drill presses.
  • Understanding of machinery operation and mechanics.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including repetitive motions, standing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50-70 pounds.
  • Experience operating forklifts and utilizing lifting devices.
  • Ability to interact professionally and work effectively with team members and clients.
  • Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or GED, with valid identification.
