Job Summary

Turner Industries is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in the Saint Paul, MN area. As a Welder, you will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out, position, align, and fit components together
  • Bolt, clamp, tack weld parts to secure in position for welding
  • Set up equipment and weld parts
  • Assemble parts by bolting and riveting
  • Weld pipe, sheet metal, structural steel, brackets, or other materials
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
  • Use cutting torch to cut materials and demo existing assemblies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum four years of experience in specified skill
  • Must be able to pass a weld test before being hired
  • Must be certified as a welder
  • Written pre-employment qualification test
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Hazard Communication orientation/test
  • Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
  • OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
  • Job site orientation
  • Job site safety requirements as required by the client
Work Environment

Industrial maintenance and construction sites, equipment yard, and/or fabrication shop

May be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.

Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.

Potential exposure to chemical substances
