The successful applicant will have a solid understanding of commercial construction and metal fabrication methodologies. They will work collaboratively with purchasing agents, architects, and contractors during the specification, planning, and design phases of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customer representatives to comprehend product and part specifications.
• Develop cost estimates, delivery timelines, and sales terms in response to inquiries.
• Maintain communication with customers to track the status of quotes and deliveries.
• Utilize knowledge of company capabilities to assess material and labor requirements for job completion.
• Determine material needs, select vendors and subcontractors, and procure necessary materials and services.
• Create production routing to facilitate scheduling and workflow.
• Oversee and manage multiple projects throughout all production stages.
• Review completed projects for billing and address any customer concerns.
• Suggest improvements to cost estimating processes to minimize discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
• Conduct specialized studies to gather cost data or implement cost-saving measures.
• Establish new client accounts through proactive outreach.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of experience as a project estimator and manager in a specialty metal fabrication environment.
• Familiarity with CAD technology and fixture design is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion effectively.
• Competence in reading architectural and structural plans.
• Experience with ERP software is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
