Air Traffic Control Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Traffic Control Supervisor to join our team at the Federal Aviation Administration. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing the work of subordinate employees and providing first-line supervision to a team of Air Traffic Control Specialists.
Key Responsibilities- Directs the work of subordinate employees and provides first-line supervision to a team of Air Traffic Control Specialists.
- Plans, assigns, and monitors the work of subordinate employees to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provides training, coaching, and guidance to subordinates and facilitates team building.
- Responsible for planning and directing operations within delegated areas of responsibility.
- Acts as the approving authority for leave and gives direction and instruction to employees on both technical and administrative matters.
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12, CPC level.
- Must have specialized experience in an air traffic facility which demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the level of work of the advertised position.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate air traffic control laws, rules, and regulations.
This position is covered by the Department of Transportation's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant tentatively selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment or pre-appointment drug screening.
