Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Farm Operations to lead and manage all farming activities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our agricultural practices, particularly in the Butler, GA area.

Key Responsibilities
1. **Operational Leadership**: Direct and coordinate schedules and rotations in collaboration with management, focusing on livestock operations including breeding, feeding, and healthcare.
2. **Financial Oversight**: Develop and manage budgets to ensure cost-effective farming practices. Monitor financial performance, analyze relevant data, and make informed decisions to enhance profitability.
3. **Team Management**: Recruit, train, and oversee farm personnel. Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide guidance to foster a productive and cohesive team environment.
4. **Maintenance Oversight**: Ensure the upkeep and repair of farm machinery and infrastructure, guaranteeing compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

6. **Procurement Management**: Oversee procurement of supplies and equipment, managing inventory to prevent shortages and waste.

8. **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of farming activities, financial transactions, and inventory management.
9. **Emergency Preparedness**: Develop and implement emergency response strategies for unforeseen events such as natural disasters or disease outbreaks.
10. **Risk Management**: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure uninterrupted farm operations.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a relevant field, with a strong background in operations management, particularly in poultry.

Ideal Candidate Attributes
- Proficient in preventative maintenance practices for structures and equipment.
- Understanding of electrical systems for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience in safety assessments and ensuring safe operational practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements
1. Ability to work in various environments including hatcheries and processing plants.
2. Exposure to seasonal weather conditions and airborne particles.
3. Must be capable of performing moderate physical tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
