Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently address service requests (e.g., plumbing issues, installation and replacement of sinks, faucets, and toilets, troubleshooting and replacing basic electrical components)
  • Expertise in completing Make Readies and Turns is essential
  • Prepare apartments for new occupants (including light carpentry, drywall repairs, and finishing work)
  • Repair and replace appliances, electrical systems, heating, plumbing, and safety equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and assist in inspecting apartments, buildings, and grounds
  • Perform touch-up painting and repair or replace window screens and glass
  • Maintain cleanliness of grounds and common areas
  • HVAC experience is preferred; certification is a plus but not mandatory

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in apartment maintenance is required
  • Extensive experience with high-volume apartment turnovers and make-ready processes is necessary
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment is essential
  • Possession of personal tools is required
  • Ability to manage a physically demanding workload
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Make Ready process for apartment units is essential
