Position Summary:

As a key member of the BCP Maintenance team, the Electrical Engineer will oversee the design and installation of new or replacement electrical and automation systems. This role includes developing standards for reliability and establishing guidelines for engineering and maintenance activities related to these systems. The Engineer will also ensure that engineering drawings and technical documentation are consistently updated.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement enhancements to process equipment through a reliability-centered maintenance approach.
  • Lead the design and execution of electrical projects and initiatives within the facility.
  • Create comprehensive shutdown work plans for electrical equipment upgrades.
  • Maintain up-to-date engineering drawings, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Provide guidance to maintenance personnel and contract labor.
  • Optimize electrical spare parts inventory, develop efficient supply contracts, and reduce stock holding costs.
  • Design and implement training programs for maintenance staff focusing on operations, maintenance, and safety.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in electrical safety throughout the facility.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist with various maintenance activities across BCP as needed.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an electrical engineering capacity.
  • At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates may possess some or all of the following:

  • 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing, particularly in implementing automation projects with successful outcomes in cost and performance.
  • Project management experience.
