Job SummaryA Senior IT Strategy Consultant is tasked with assessing and refining an organization's overarching business strategy and performance metrics. This role encompasses the collection, examination, and interpretation of IT-related data, methodologies, and strategies to identify trends that promote continuous enhancement and optimal performance. The consultant will be responsible for managing insights and recommendations aimed at improving tools, metrics, and processes to ensure alignment with IT strategy. Regular communication with senior leadership is expected to support the formulation of a long-term organizational strategy.
Job Responsibilities
•Serve as a key member of the UNITE Core Team, acting as the primary liaison for UNITE at PSEG. UNITE (Utility Information Technology Best Practices Program) is an IT benchmarking and best practices consortium initiated by Southern Company Services. Responsibilities include ensuring that information exchanges involve the appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs) and occur within the designated timeframe; coordinating and compiling PSEG data for benchmarking; and managing a comprehensive internal project plan for UNITE data collection participation.
•Act as the UNITE Survey Coordinator, overseeing the survey process at PSEG.
•Gather, analyze, and report on IT strategy and performance metrics, including but not limited to IT operational metrics, tools, and procedures. Utilize external resources and foster relationships across the industry to collect data and information in a timely and accurate manner. Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership that extract key themes and outline actionable recommendations. Present insights and contribute to discussions on the collected material for ongoing improvement.
•Continuously enhance IT's strategic processes and materials for maximum impact, including facilitating strategy sessions and maintaining ongoing interactions with the business and other Service Company organizations. Establish a leadership presence within peer groups across the industry and serve as a resource for project and continuous improvement teams.
•Develop and maintain an annual benchmarking plan that includes regular updates to IT senior leadership and other executives, along with providing monthly or year-end reports featuring research and best practices that align with IT strategy (for example, a monthly summary of UNITE surveys).
Required (Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge):
•Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, or another analytical field
•A minimum of 8 years' experience in analytical, quantitative, and qualitative analysis
•Hands-on experience with MS products and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
•Advanced experience in data mining, query and report design with the ability to create a product that can be shared with diverse audiences
•Experience with predictive analytics tools and techniques
•Ability to develop innovative approaches with applicable tools to measure success
•Detail-oriented, driven, and capable of working independently
•Ability to manage project compliance and risk mitigation with limited supervision
•Proficient in collaborating across departmental boundaries and maintaining positive relationships with cross-functional partners
•Experience providing thought leadership to executive leadership teams
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex assignments concurrently
•Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic priorities
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations to varied audiences and facilitating process improvement teams
