Diagnostic Sonography Specialist

As a Diagnostic Sonography Specialist at Great River Health System, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with a high level of technical expertise. Under the direction of the Administrative Director and the Radiologist, you will work independently and within a team environment to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of technical procedures, including diagnostic ultrasound, with ingenuity and initiative.
Provide written documentation in the patient medical record to outline parameters of the diagnostic procedure.
Evaluate the need for and provide education and associated educational materials to patients and families undergoing diagnostic tests.
Requirements:
Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training program or graduate of A.M.A certified diagnostic medical sonography program.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient and accurate computer and typing skills, with ability to analyze information and prioritize.
Current registration by the A.R.R.T. and/or A.R.D.M.S current licensure in one or more ultrasound disciplines, with maintenance of a current Iowa State Department of Public Health Permit to Practice and BLS certification.
