Position Overview

LMI is in search of a Logistics Consultant / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide critical support for the missions and operational needs of the US Coast Guard (USCG) Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber, and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC). This role will also assist the Coast Guard Chief Information Officer's (CIO) Office and various other commands. The services rendered will encompass operations, management, analysis, and a variety of business and logistics functions essential for the successful execution of C5ISC, CIO, and related missions across multiple platforms, including afloat, air, deployable specialized forces, and shore facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Configuration Management, Configuration Data Management, and Maintenance Data Management support for USCG assets, both Ashore and Afloat, as directed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • Deliver organizational and depot-level support in the development and updates of the Configuration Management System (CMS), including verification stages of Maintenance Standards (MS), Recurring Tasks (RT), Maintenance Items (MI), Cutter Maintenance Plans (CMP), and Maintenance Requirements Lists (MRL).
  • Oversee updates and modifications to Configuration Item Functional Descriptions (CIFD) and associated Configuration Items (CI), ensuring accuracy in property values related to USCG supported assets.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in logistical operations for commercial or governmental entities, with an additional four years of experience substituting for a bachelor's degree.
  • Hands-on experience with the Fleet Logistics System (FLS) and proficiency in managing property items within Oracle Fixed Assets Management (FAM).
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment characteristics, properties, and applications.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and communicate specialized information regarding equipment to various stakeholders.
  • Experience in identifying and proposing practical solutions to engineering design and manufacturing issues.
  • Familiarity with developing, implementing, inspecting, or revising equipment maintenance programs and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to read, interpret, and apply governmental policies, regulations, and directives.
