Position Overview:
As an MRI Technologist, you will work under general supervision to perform imaging procedures for both neuro and body scans across a diverse patient demographic, from neonates to geriatrics. You will ensure adherence to age-specific guidelines, transmit images for diagnostic evaluation, and maintain accurate records within the hospital's computer system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute all imaging procedures following established protocols and ensure proper patient identification prior to exams.
  • Educate patients about the imaging process and screen for any potential contrast allergies.
  • Complete imaging exams efficiently, maintaining workflow and minimizing downtime.
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively, demonstrating proficiency in scanning patients of all ages while adapting protocols as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure and maintain infection control standards.
  • Review and assess images for quality, repeating scans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
  • Enforce MRI safety protocols and may oversee quality control and accreditation processes.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field.

Licensure and Certification:
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- State licensure as applicable.
