Additionally, you will engage in supplementary responsibilities aimed at enhancing patient care, ensuring high-quality imaging, optimizing operational workflows, and mentoring fellow imaging professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks as a Mobile Imaging Specialist will include:
- Traveling as needed to conduct portable imaging and EKG assessments in various locations, such as long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, correctional facilities, private residences, and other patient settings.
- Adhering to all organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines while performing imaging examinations.
- Collecting and confirming all necessary documentation and patient details prior to conducting procedures.
- Preparing and positioning patients for imaging studies.
- Operating portable imaging equipment at the patient's location or designated examination areas.
- Assessing exposure parameters based on patient characteristics and imaging requirements.
- Practicing safe work habits pertinent to the role, including safe driving, radiation safety, infection control, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Preparing images for review by radiologists or referring physicians.
- Processing and evaluating images for diagnostic quality before submission.
- Transmitting images and all required documentation promptly in accordance with company protocols.
- Completing all necessary forms and maintaining accurate records, visit logs, and reports of services rendered.
- Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of imaging equipment; assisting with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues as directed.
- Ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and stocked with essential supplies.
- Complying with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding portable imaging practices.
- Providing training and orientation to new employees as requested by management.
- Assisting with order processing, validation of studies, communication with interpreting radiologists, and other administrative support tasks as needed.
- Maintaining professionalism and demonstrating courtesy, friendliness, and a positive demeanor when interacting with colleagues, patients, their families, and healthcare staff.
- Upholding a personal commitment to the mission, values, and ethical standards of the organization.
- Following instructions and adhering to all company policies and guidelines.
- Communicating positively and professionally with all stakeholders.
- Ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist RT (R)
- Possess a Limited Scope X-ray Operator certification as per state regulations
- Hold a valid state x-ray license (if applicable)
- Maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
- Capable of lifting or moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to navigate multiple flights of stairs with ease
- Willingness to work weekends only - Saturday and Sunday
- Travel as required for the position
