Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist

Position Summary:
The MRI Specialist is tasked with the operation of MRI machines to generate diagnostic images utilizing magnetic fields and radio waves. This position demands proficiency in Radiologic Technology.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is essential. Experience: A minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is necessary.
Licensure: A valid Florida state license as a General Radiographer RT is mandatory, with MR certification preferred (MR certification must be obtained within one year of employment).
Registration: Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Certification: ARRT- (R) or (R)(MR) and BLS/CPR certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute MRI imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process.
- Complete necessary documentation and provide clear guidance to patients.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and MRI terminology.
- Adhere to safety protocols related to MRI operations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the work environment.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on MRI equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
