Job Summary

The Medical Staff Office Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining and improving medical staff functions related to credentialing and re-credentialing. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience working with physicians/medical staffing offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve medical staff functions related to credentialing and re-credentialing
  • Manage the scheduling of medical staff meetings and maintain meeting minutes
  • Provide support to the Vice President of Medical Affairs in the development and management of other medical staff functions and activities
  • Facilitate effective communication within the medical staff departments/services and between the medical staff and other areas of the medical center
  • Interact with senior leaders, Medical Staff, Leadership, external credentialing, and regulatory agencies
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; degree preferred
  • 1 – 3 years' experience working with physicians/medical staffing office preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical staff credentialing and privileging databases
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
