Job Summary

John Muir Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II to join our team. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures to aid in diagnostic interpretations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of ultrasound technology and techniques to stay current with industry advancements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional care and support.
Requirements
  • RDMS license with subspecialty registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN, and current RVT license.
  • Ability to obtain RVT license within 14 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • OB/Gyn Obstetrics and Gynecology certification from ARDMS.
  • BR Breast Certification from ARDMS (preferred).
