As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams for a variety of procedures, including obstetrical, abdominal, and vascular. You will produce diagnostic-quality exams, individualizing technical factors, scanning parameters, and patient positioning as required by each procedure.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (or equivalent) in the appropriate specialty (OB/Gyn, Abdominal). You will also need to demonstrate competence in all diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including invasive exams such as ultrasound-guided biopsies.
