Job Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

At Memorial Health, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on outpatients and inpatients, including interventional ultrasound and sonographic vascular exams.
  • Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency.
  • Maintain technical skills relating to imaging factors and provide excellent guest relations rapport with patients, visitors, physicians, and fellow employees.
  • Monitor the condition of equipment and supplies to ensure safe and efficient operations of the department.
  • Ensure proper recording and transmission of patient information.
  • Comply with department procedures regarding employee/patient incident reports.
  • Review and recommend equipment/supply purchases.
  • Participate in continuing education and meet requirements for all mandatory inservices.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an approved ultrasound program required.
  • Licensed by ARDMS or ARRT as either a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and/or as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required.
  • BLS CPR certification required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in diagnostic ultrasound preferred.
Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to work independently and provide guidance to Level I Sonographer is essential.
