Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Cook 2/3 to join our culinary team at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be proficient in basic dessert and pastry techniques.

This role is responsible for preparing high-quality pastry and dessert items, as well as assisting with food preparation and presentation.

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.


Responsibilities

As a Pastry Cook 2/3, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing pastry and dessert items according to established standards and recipes.
  • Assisting with food preparation, including washing, cleaning, peeling, chopping, or slicing fruits and vegetables as needed.
  • Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience working in a hotel or restaurant kitchen preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays on a flexible schedule.
  • Basic knowledge of operating kitchen equipment and accepted standards of sanitation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
