About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center. In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting excellence in nursing care and supporting the development of our staff.
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide expert clinical guidance and support to nurses on our team, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver high-quality patient care. This is a full-time position working day shifts with a competitive salary range of $58.85 - $94.73 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Supports, supervises, and evaluates staff new to a clinical setting during their first 90 to 180 days on the unit.
- Acts within the nurse-patient, nurse-nurse, and nurse-system spheres.
- Facilitates a multi-disciplinary and collaborative approach in the provision of health care, within a specialty area.
- Responsible for the promotion of excellence in the provision of nursing care through the implementation of clinical standards of practice and establishing competency standards for staff members.
Requirements
- Masters degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Current certification in area of specialty (i.e., CEN, CCRN) upon hire.
- 3 years Registered Nursing experience in area of specialty.
- 2 years Clinical Leadership responsibility.
