About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in energy engineering and a passion for helping our clients achieve their energy efficiency goals. The Senior Engineer will work closely with our clients to assess their operations, identify opportunities for energy savings, and develop recommendations for energy efficiency projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage high-impact projects, maintaining accountability and ensuring timely completion.
  • Calculate energy savings for various system or equipment changes using existing calculation tools and methodologies.
  • Engage with clients at their commercial locations to gain a deep understanding of their equipment and operations, identify opportunities for energy efficiency, and provide recommendations.
  • Foster and grow client relationships, identifying opportunities for new work and generating significant revenue.
  • Present complex technical issues to diverse audiences, facilitating understanding and consensus.
  • Compose energy efficiency project reports based on analyses and observations.
  • Document performance through data collection from customer sources or via installed data logging equipment.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of utility programs and their compliance requirements.
  • Provide peer mentorship through technical discussions and work review.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study.
  • 5+ years of energy engineering experience, preferably in a consulting practice or as an energy manager for a corporation.
  • Expert technical knowledge of commercial systems, including controls, HVAC, steam systems, chillers, cooling towers, lighting, and custom computer modeling.
  • Experience in commercial energy efficiency, commercial HVAC controls commissioning or retro commissioning, strategic energy management, and industrial energy efficiency.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $116,000 - $141,700, depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experiences, and geographical location. Our total rewards include health, vision, FSA or HSA options with an employer contribution, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401k retirement plan with a guaranteed 3% contribution, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), annual cash performance bonus, paid vacation, sick time, and an inclusive, flexible paid holiday policy and a wellbeing contribution of $500 for HSA, FSA, or LSA (Lifestyle Spending Account).
