Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at System One Holdings, LLC. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for utility and oil & gas projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for utility and oil & gas projects
  • Perform complex engineering tasks and difficult engineering work efficiently and accurately
  • Extract engineering information from CAD drawings
  • Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs
  • Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials
  • Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses
  • Prepare and issue specifications, datasheets, and other construction documents
  • Provide technical guidance to CAD Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project
  • May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances
  • Act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering-related matters
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of related work experience
  • Active Professional Engineer registration in California is required or ability to obtain in 3 months
  • Proficiency in utilizing software packages typically associated with Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in low voltage and medium voltage heavy industrial design, substation design, transmission, and distribution line design, and ETAP modeling
  • Working knowledge of applicable Industry Codes and Standards (e.g. NEC, ASME, ANSI, ISA, ASHRAE, IEEE, ASTM, NFPA)
  • Experience working with 480V and up
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team of engineers and designers on multiple, concurrently executed projects
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Expresses ideas concisely and clearly, both orally and in writing
  • Accepts responsibility for own actions and honors commitments
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client offices, other company offices, and project sites for meetings, performing inspections and walk-downs, and to assist field personnel and construction team with Electrical technical issues
  • Proficient in the use of office personal computers, office networks, and Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • US Citizenship is required

$55-75/hr
