Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CVICU Nurse to join our team at CHI St Vincent Infirmary. As a CVICU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals who are critically ill and unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life-threatening disease.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care while ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
- Anticipate, identify, and respond to informational and emotional needs of patients and families.
- Guide and direct healthcare personnel in caring for patients, including Patient Care Technicians.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use, including IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices.
- Initiate emergency support measures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and protect patients from injury.
- Assist with patient care duties and tasks, including emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene.
- Registered Nurse license in good standing, State of Arkansas or compact state license required prior to start date.
- 6 months of acute care experience is required, with previous CVICU experience strongly preferred.
- BLS through the American Heart Association is required, with ACLS through the American Heart Association also required.
