Critical Care Registered Nurse

Job Summary
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse at Arkansas Heart Hospital, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide competent direct care to critically ill patients, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating population-specific criteria and assessment of readiness to learn.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to standard precautions.
- Document all necessary information and maintain accurate records.
- Facilitate discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform Point-of-Care procedures in a timely manner, adhering to established policy and procedure.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining equipment and supplies, and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Participate in the Performance Improvement program and contribute to the development of unit-based competencies.
- Assist in directing and guiding staff in the coordination of unit operations, and support the multi-skilled worker environment through cross-training and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact required.
- BLS certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS certification required for any Registered Nurse by completion of clinical orientation.
- PALS or ENPC certification required for all Emergency Department RNs within one year of employment.
