Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CVICU Nurse to join our team at CHI St Vincent Infirmary. As a CVICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients who require specialized attention. Your expertise and dedication will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
About the RoleAs a CVICU Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients who are critically ill and unstable. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families. Your strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patients' vital signs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Registered Nurse license in good standing, State of Arkansas or compact state license required prior to start date.
- 6 months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program).
- Previous CVICU experience strongly preferred.
- BLS through the American Heart Association is required.
- ACLS through the American Heart Association is required.
